This 7.7 MWp commercial rooftop photovoltaic system was delivered in Venlo, Netherlands, with construction during Dec 2019, Jan 2020. The scope covered engineering, procurement and construction — layout and yield design, structural and electrical engineering, module and inverter supply, mounting, DC and AC installation, grid connection works, testing and commissioning.
As a rooftop system, the design started from a structural assessment of the existing roof and its load reserve. Module rows, walkways and fire-safety clearances were arranged so that maintenance access and roof penetrations stay within the building owner's requirements, with ballast or fixing systems matched to the roof build-up.
